LANDFILL CINDERELLA EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO NUNG, TAY, AND DAO ETHNIC MINORITY STUDENTS IN BINH PHUOC

On April 12, 2025, the 4TheYouth Foundation granted ten scholarships with a total value of 5 million VND under the “Landfill Cinderella Education Scholarship Program for Ethnic Minority Children in Difficult Circumstances in Vietnam.”

The recipients are elementary school students of the Nung, Tay, and Dao ethnic groups studying at the Cau Sat Village Center – Bu Gia Map Primary School, Bu Gia Map District, Binh Phuoc Province. These students are people from northern ethnic groups who relocated with their families to Bu Gia Map to settle or were born there. The initiative has the support of Mr. Khương Hữu Thắng, Deputy Head of the Science and International Cooperation Department – Bu Gia Map National Park, and the backing of teachers at Bu Gia Map Primary School.

The scholarships are funded from the profits of Public Forum debate classes taught by students from Saigon International School at the Vietnam Public Forum Academy (VPFA). The scholarships provide financial support to help these students overcome challenges, achieve high academic performance, and cover living expenses, thereby supporting their educational aspirations.

We are deeply grateful for the collaboration of Mr. Khuong Huu Thang, Deputy Head of the Science and International Cooperation Department – Bu Gia Map National Park; the teachers at Bu Gia Map Primary School; and the debate coaches at VPFA, who have provided substantial support to both the debate program and the scholarship distribution process.
