Awarding the “Landfill Cinderella” Education Scholarships and Establishing “Landfill Cinderella” Bookcases for Children at SOS Children’s Village in Ho Chi Minh City!

As scheduled, on Friday afternoon, June 6, 2025, a delegation of students from Saigon South International School, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted in Ho Chi Minh City, Canada International School, and BIS HCM, who are actively engaged with 4TheYouth Foundation, visited SOS Children’s Village in Ho Chi Minh City. The visit comprised several meaningful and heartfelt activities:

1. Presentation of Scholarships:

A total of ten Landfill Cinderella Education Program scholarships, with a combined value of 5 million VND, were awarded to exemplary students from SOS Children’s Village in Ho Chi Minh City, as detailed in the attached list. These scholarships are generously funded through tuition fees collected from Public Forum debate classes conducted by students from Saigon South International School at the Vietnam Public Forum Academy. The primary aim of these scholarships is to provide vital financial support, enabling recipients to overcome economic challenges, excel academically, and cover living expenses—thus fostering their educational development.

2. Establishment of the “Landfill Cinderella” Bookcases:

A dedicated bookshelf has been inaugurated within the “Landfill Cinderella Virtual Library” an online platform dedicated to promoting literacy and lifelong learning. This bookshelf features used but well-maintained Vietnamese and English books and stories, generously donated by parents and students.

We strongly believe that education is a powerful catalyst for individual empowerment and national progress.

In conclusion, 4TheYouth Foundation would like to express its sincere gratitude to the parents, volunteers at SOS Children’s Village Ho Chi Minh City, coaches at the Vietnam Public Forum Academy, and all students from participating schools who collaborated with us to ensure the success of this meaningful event.
