LANDFILL CINDERELLA EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO ETHNIC MINORITY STUDENTS

In the third week of June 2025, the 4TheYouth Foundation awarded eleven scholarships totaling 5.5 million VND under the “Landfill Cinderella Education Scholarship Program,” dedicated to supporting disadvantaged ethnic minority students across Vietnam.

The recipients represent students from the Pa Then, Chu Ru, Muong, Hmong, Khmer, Tay, and Dao ethnic groups, residing in various regions including Nam Kham (Ha Giang), Na Ngan, Na Phac, Phieng Kham (Bac Kan), Sa Pa (Lao Cai), Klong Bong (Lam Đong), Phong Son (Thanh Hoa), Đại Tam (Soc Trang), Che Cu Nha, Đe Thang (Yen Bai), and Na Bung (Đien Bien), as detailed in the attached list.

This initiative was made possible through the dedication of Khang A Tua, a former student of Fulbright University Vietnam, an inspiring example of determination to overcome educational challenges faced by the Hmong community, along with his colleagues serving on the Management Board of the Tien Phong Group (https://bvhttdl.gov.vn/khang-a-tua-chang-trai-hmong-dau-tien-o-dh-fulbright-lot-top-5-nhan-vat-truyen-cam-hung-wechoice-awards-2019-2020011613285314.htm).

The scholarships are funded by proceeds from Public Forum debate classes conducted by students from Saigon South International School at the Vietnam Public Forum Academy (VPFA). These funds provide vital financial support, enabling recipients to overcome obstacles, achieve high academic performance, and cover living expenses—significantly contributing to their educational and personal development.

We firmly believe that education is a powerful tool for empowerment and national progress.

The 4TheYouth Foundation sincerely appreciates the cooperation of Khang A Tua, his colleagues, and the debate coaches at VPFA, whose effective support has been instrumental in successfully awarding these scholarships.
