On Saturday, September 20, 2024, a group of multinational students from the Hand in Hand Club of Saigon South International School (SSIS) with Ms. Maley Jessica Ann – SSIS’s Teacher/Club Advisor and 4TheYouth Foundation visited and taught the children at SOS Children’s Village Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City.
The activities, including playing games such as Pictionary and teaching English with the theme Festival, took place in an exciting and joyful atmosphere for the SOS children as well as Ms. Maley and the teacher volunteers.
Afterwards, the children were guided on how to use the new library software at the Landfill Cinderella Online Library – SOS HCMC (Go Vap) – a library model mentioned in a recent UNDP interview with the Founder & President of 4TheYouth Foundation, Vietnam Public Forum Academy and Inspire Youth Debate.
The next lessons will continue to take place online every week combined with regular offline teaching according to the plan of 4TheYouth Foundation and Hand in Hand Club.
Finally, we would like to sincerely thank all the student volunteers who helped bring joy to the students at the SOS Children’s Village Go Vap and everyone with the desire to join hands to create positive changes in society. We can all believe that the future of these children will change through enhanced access to education and their own hard work.
