I am Quynh Anh (Elsa), a student at the Saigon South International School and the Founder and President of the charity organization 4TheYouth Foundation, the social enterprise Vietnam Public Forum Academy, the non-profit organization Inspire Youth Debate, and Vietnam Public Forum’s National Talented Youth Team.
We are currently working to develop the “Landfill Cinderella” program, which includes building online libraries and organizing weekly activities and teaching sessions for children in challenging circumstances. 1. Virtual library: 4TheYouth – SOS Go Vap
– Facilities: 5-10 laptops/tablets since the library only has an area of 30m² (computers and tablets can be used but should still be in good condition)
– Volunteers: Weekly sessions led by students from the Inspire Youth Debate@Canadian International School Debate Club, Vinschool, and ISHCMC
– Funding and Resources: From the debate tuition revenue of the Vietnam Public Forum Academy and resources from 4TheYouth Foundation, Vietnam Public Forum Academy, and Inspire Youth Debate
– Contribution Period: We are accepting contributions until June 1, 2024
– Computer Donations: Please provide an address for us to arrange collection of the laptops/tablets
Other donations for about 150 children in SOS Go Vap: school supplies and clothes
2. Virtual library: 4TheYouth – Dang Sron
(Dang Sron is a remote ethnic minority village located in Ninh Gia commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province)
– Facilities: 5-10 laptops/tablets (computers and tablets can be used but should still be in good condition)
– Volunteers: Weekly teaching sessions for children by students from the Inspire Youth Debate@Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted Debate Club and students of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.
– Funding and Resources: From the debate tuition revenue of the Vietnam Public Forum Academy and resources from 4TheYouth Foundation, Vietnam Public Forum Academy, and Inspire Youth Debate
– Contribution Period: We are accepting contributions until June 30, 2024
– Computer Donations: Please provide an address for us to arrange collection of the laptops/tablets
Other donation efforts are being developed by iClass, benefiting approximately 200 children in Dang Sron village.
We hope the community will join in supporting our effort to provide computers, enabling us to establish the library and arrange weekly activities/lessons for the children. Additionally, we warmly invite parents, siblings, friends, and students to accompany us to the library’s opening and participate in the various fun activities and gift-giving at the two facilities mentioned above.
The 4TheYouth Foundation, Vietnam Public Forum Academy, and Inspire Youth Debate will also offer certificates recognizing students’ charitable donations and efforts upon request.
